Causes of toxicity in patients chronically taking lithium
     Toxic ingestion
     Dehydration
     Over-diuresis
     Drug-drug interaction (particularly NSAIDs)
Sx
     Lithium levels do not correlated well with symptoms or prognosis
     Thyroid dysfunction
Tx
     Hemodialysis is helpful in lithium toxicity
NOT Tx
     Charcoal does not bind heavy metals like lithium
