Screening should begin:

  • Canadian Urological Association [2022]
    • 45 years old for:
      • Men with a family history of prostate cancer in a first- or second-degree relative
    • 50 years old for:
      • Average risk men
  • American Cancer Society
    • 40 years old for:
      • Men with more than one first-degree relative who had prostate cancer earlier than age 65
    • 45 years old for:
      • African Americans
      • Men with a first-degree relative (father or brother) diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier than age 65
    • 50 years old for:
      • Men at average risk
